Habitats and species of wild animals

Wild animals can be found in different environments, so certain types of wild animals evolve in each environment.

Selva.
There we will find a large and huge number of vegetation species. The temperature in the jungle usually varies from wet to dry, depending on the season.

The huge amount of vegetation that exists in the jungle has favored herbivorous animals to obtain abundant food. And the predatory wild animals that live with them took advantage of this. They were able to develop camouflage and instincts with which they were able to survive, even in such hostile places. The jungle is an environment in which wild animals, such as the panther, live because of their ferocity.

Other wild animals that live in the jungle are the badger, which is an extraordinary burrower, the Malayan tapir, which is a mammal with a strange face, cats such as the puma, the spectacled bear, the mamba, which is one of the world’s most deadliest leopard, the lion, the jaguar, which is endangered, the rock cock, which is the national bird of Peru, the elephant, the largest land animal on the planet, or the chimpanzee, which is the closest species to man.

Bosque.
There is not much difference between the forest and the jungle. Its ecosystem consists of trees and plants. A peaceful way of life, but there are many risks. Animals that live in the forest are provided with food. A wide variety of roots, plants and seeds are at your disposal.

Some of the animal species that live in the forests are: the Bengal tiger, which is the best hunter in this environment, the rhinoceros, the panda bear, whose way of reproduction is unique, the raccoon, the wolf, the wild boar, which is very similar to the pig, the gorilla, which is a very large primate, the kangaroo, which is the manakin in the forests, the elk and the eagle.

Desierto
The desert is a very dry environment. It is extremely difficult for a living being to adapt to it. Animals and vegetation that manage to live in the desert have survival mechanisms that they have acquired through natural selection. The few plants that exist are usually located in places where there are water sources in the subsoil and form oases.

This habitat is the place where wild animals live, such as some snakes, scorpions and many arachnids. The peculiarity of these animals is that they have glands with poison and they can survive for several days without drinking a drop of water.

Some of the animals that live in the desert are the buzzard, which is a carrion bird, the sand viper, the meerkat, the oryx, which is a kind of antelope shaped like a horse, the iguana, which is a very exotic animal, the yellow scorpion which is very venomous, the coyote which is a relative of the wolf, the camel which is a remarkable survivor, the red-necked ostrich which is the largest bird on earth, and the adax which is a type of antelope.

The ocean
Almost three quarters of the surface of our planet is covered by water, mainly seas and oceans, and therefore they are the largest habitats, so it should be concluded that the greatest amount of biodiversity of species lives in this environment.

In this case, the habitat does not pose a risk to the animals that live in it, on the contrary, the risk is posed by other animals that share the same environment. Such an example is aggressive fish that feed on smaller fish. It was also possible to observe herd behavior when hunting, as they do it in a group, as was seen with some shark species.

Other characteristics of wild animals that live in the ocean and are extremely interesting behaviors is that some species have managed to establish symbiotic relationships, that is, those in which two species of fish decide to help each other and cease to be enemies, all for the benefit and convenience of both.

Examples of wild animals that live in the ocean are the white shark, which is the great predator of this habitat, the whale shark, which is the largest fish that exists on the planet, the rockfish, which is one of the fish with the most poisonous fish in the world, the wingfish, which is both very attractive and venomous, the walrus, the sea lion, the seals, which are very cute but also agile predators underwater, the crocodile, which is an absolutely dangerous reptile and the giant squid, which expels ink when defending itself.
